Becoming an Artist

This image of the Poolbeg Towers was the first piece I worked on with an idea to sell. I had been drawing my whole life but didn’t ever consider that it could be a way to make money. But, in 2015 something happened and I decided to give it a go. After drawing this piece I took a print of it to Books on the Green in Sandymount and asked if they’d like to try to sell it. That’s where it all started, the picture was an instant success and after that I never stopped drawing and selling.

Every image on this website is my own work. From the first sketches, to the colouring, to the printing, wrapping, addressing of envelopes and posting...every step of the process is done by me.

All of my images begin with pencil sketches and end with hours and hours of adding colour and working towards getting a unique and striking colour composition.
